The server for our room service dinner was also friendly and cheerful. We were greeted quite cheerfully by the front desk staff, the valet parking crew and the several staff members (including engineering) who came to fix the locks of the doors connecting our rooms-ultimately with WD40.

We thought that our connecting rooms were facing the Caribbean, but we arrived late in the evening (thanks to delays caused by the storms in the southeast US that day), and it was too dark to see beyond the lighted pool area.

I think the options in Ponce would be a better choice in future. Hotel has potential and swimming zone nice if vacationing, but not up to par for business travelers. The coffee bar in the front foyer area was never open before we left by 8 am and was also closed when we returned in the evening. Signposting to elevators and business work areas was vague and staff communications misleading. So the lack of provision to support snacks, and non vacation stays was disappointing at best. This was a business stay and we left by 8 am and returned late. Dinner service once delivered was not supported by waiter service re condiments, etc. No staff help offered and it took several trips in and out of the doors that were not automatic to obtain breakfast supplies. Breakfast access was through a check in but no coffee/beverage area provided where the outside tables were located. We all ate the same thing and myself and other colleague were also unwell for 12 hours. Limited options, and what was off the menu was poor quality and in fact one of my colleagues had terrible diarrhea and nausea for 24 hrs.

The food service was well below expectations. Room quality very good, but required a long hike to the far accommodation tower block. Stunning location, public areas in the foyer, and lanai-type restaurant setting.
